Happy End of June (where did April and May go?)

Hello few follwers of my blog (and future me who is the one I hope will be reading this in 2029 when Wally graduates High School and I'm a pile of tears and lipstick).  So in true Emily fashion, I can't keep anything going steadily for more than a few months.  I can blog weekly, but only for 7-8 consecutive weeks before it gets put on the backburner.  This is how I live, and I'm OK with that...

Well, not to dwell on the past but lots of important things have happened since my last blog.  Let's see...
1. My cousin Tanya had her baby - Ryder Jay Brown on May 21st.  He's super cute, very nice round head and just a tiny little bean.  I can't wait for Ryder and Wally to be BFF's
2. Brian's sister Mariel and her (now husband) Jeff were married over Memorial Day weekend.  It was one of the most impressive events I've ever been a part of.  Just amazing - we helped put together some flowers and decorations, and got to spend the weekend in downtown Mpls.  It was our first overnight without Wally, who went to my parents' for over 24 hours.  Yeah, it was a pretty big deal.
3. Wally "graduated" from our second mama class - Beyond Newborns.  Now we have 2 groups of mamas and babies to hang out with.
4. Beth, my best friend from middle school, came to visit us in early June.  She is now living in Hawaii so it was really nice to see her.  She got Wally a cute Hawaiian outfit - perfect for summer.
5. My Grandpa Rock is currently at Camilia Rose nursing home in recovery after a quadruple bypass surgery in early June.  My grandma drove him to the hospital in the middle of the night when he was having trouble breathing and they found him to have heart failure and only 15-20% bloodflow through the heart.  We're all pretty nervous, he's 84.
6. Brian will start a new job next week at VM Ware (originally Socialcast but they were bought out).  He's been in holding since mid-April so we are both very excited that it's finally going to happen!  Now he will be downtown Mpls with his two very good friends, Lars and Ryan.  I'm so excited that he is going to be doing something new and exciting in his career!
